Welcome!

Hi, my name is Racquel.

I love taking complex information and making it understandable and engaging to a broad audience.

I am a fifth-year Computer Science PhD student at Northeastern University, where I conduct research in Visualization under the advisement of Dr. Enrico Bertini and Dr. Lace Padilla. Our research examines how varying visualizations affects readers’ understanding of information, including general uncertainty, their personal risks and their medical history.

I have experience working as a Graphic, Brand, Set, Mechanical and Data Visualization Designer, as well as a Data Scientist, and I enjoy using a combination of skills from my past roles to find new ways to research and create Visualizations.

If you’d like to work together, please feel free to reach out over email or though LinkedIn. I look forward to hearing from you!
